Have you thought about making your teeth whiter and brighter. Here's some information.
Teeth whitening is lightening the natural colour of the teeth without removing the tooth surface.
What Happens During Teeth Whitening Treatment?
A consult prior to the procedure is done and a take home whitening kit is provided with a custom fitted tray to place the whitening product directly against the teeth while minimizing contact with your gums. This can usually be done in 3 - 4 weeks.
Different types of whitening products:
1. Take-home whitening kit
2. In Office whitening
Take-Home whitening kit: A custom-fitted tray is provided to place the teeth whitening product directly against the teeth and can be worn overnight or during the day at home.
In Office Whitening: We find that office whitening is unpredictable and majority of the results come from dehydration of enamel. We prefer to use more cost effective, predictive and safe method because of less sensitivity through home whitening. We no longer provide office whitening because we don’t believe it provides patients with the best value for their money or more superior results
Risks: It is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women & if you are allergic to peroxide. If you have receding gums you may experience tooth sensitivity. Tooth sensitivity typically disappears within a few days.
