Dental Care during a Pandemic

Things have changed very quickly in Australia in the last week or so, and are likely to continue to change rapidly over the coming weeks, with the effects felt for months.

At Dentaltown, we are an accredited dental practice and have always had the highest hygiene standards, and we will continue to provide this high level of care in addition to any recommendations brought out by relevant health authorities. All dentists and hygienists wear gloves and face masks and equipment is thoroughly cleaned between uses.

Appointments

We are still keeping appointments and providing a high level of care to patients and will continue to do so until otherwise advised. We have arranged the waiting room to allow for more space between patients.

Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or have returned from overseas travel within the last 14 days - especially if you have upper respiratory tract symptoms. Please do this as soon as you are able to, so we may offer your appointment to someone else.

Urgent Treatment

It is also important not to ignore any persistent dental pain. In some cases, treatment can become more expensive or more drastic, the longer you wait. Please phone the practice and we will be able to advise you on what action to take.

Routines

Even though a lot of routines are changing right now, it is important to continue to take good care of your teeth. If you are spending more time at home, be wary of excess consumption of sugary snacks or soft drinks in front of the TV, help your children maintain their teeth brushing routine.

Here at Dentaltown, we wish everyone good health and we look forward to continuing to care for the health of you and your family.
