Why do I need to floss my teeth?

I’ve never flossed my teeth before and I’ve never had any problems.

When you have sticky sugars, it can get stuck between your teeth. Anywhere food gets stuck in your mouth, a party ensues. Holes can form and a build up happens between your teeth which, can make the gums a bit upset.

Once you get a hole in your tooth, or you get some upset gums, it can get to a point where it becomes irreversible and it doesn’t cause you any pain for an extended period of time.

But, because you’re not in pain, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there isn’t any damage being done.

And when the upset gums or the hole gets to a certain point, then it can become painful, expensive and you could potentially lose the tooth. That usually happens at an inconvenient time, so it’s good to floss every day.

After a while, once you get the hang of it, it can be done very quickly.
